The best way to know God is to love many things.

Vincent Van Gogh

So many ways to make beautiful art. Art is in the eye of the beholder. Here are some of my thoughts and journey to make my art that I hope will be inspirational to you.

Fused Glass Moves You.

It all begins with imagination. What can it be? How much can be seen? How detailed or abstract is it? Does it have a purpose? Is it art?

It takes layers to build it.

From the imagination to the drawing board. Can I translate the idea into drawing? Or, do I just start? Can I cut the shape I need in glass? Do I need to use a saw? Should it be painted? How many layers will it take?

Fused glass is Cool (or it breaks).

It’s gone from imagination to the drawing board to the glass. There’s a pile of it. Now to turn it over to the kiln to do the real work. How fast should the temperature rise? How hot should it go? How long does it stay at each level? When can it start cooling and how fast can it cool? Ah, if it cools too fast (or I get too impatient, it’ll break. I’ve done it and cried. What’s the cry factor?
